Thirty-one Britton-Hecla seniors will receive diplomas at the school’s Commencement scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Britton-Hecla Arena.
Senior Class officers will give the commencement address. They include President Maggie Kilker, Vice-President Will Schuller, and Secretary-Treasurer Alyssa James.
Superintendent Steve Benson will give the welcome. High School Principal Carrie James will give acknowledgments, and Board of Education members will present diplomas.
A Senior Ensemble will sing, “Home.” The B-H Concert Band will perform “Wyndham Variations” as well as the processional and recessional.
Members of the Britton-Hecla Class of 2023 include Jordan Andrews, Tynan Bennett, Cassidy Biel, Hunter Borgen, Landon Carlson, Ashlyn Casey, BoDell Davidson, Ellie Feldhaus, Dale Fischer, Katee Freeman, Elizabeth Gray, James Hoops, Aaron Idt, Alyssa James, Elijah Jensen, Nevaeh Jones, Riley Jones, Maggie Kilker, Aiden Lee, Haden Malpert, Tucker Mertens, Ashton Mills, Dyl Nebrida, Regan Ringkob, William Schuller, Gage Storley, Luke Storley, Erika Symens, Wyatt Tosse, Kaylie Trevithick and McKaelyn Zuehlke.
The motto of the B-H Senior Class is, “We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other (Tim McGraw).” A red alstroemeria is the class flower, and the class colors are red and white.
Serving as Junior Class Escorts for the commencement will be Jayden Bender, Kaitlyn Folkman, Kaegan Fredrickson, Emma Kraft, Tiyanna Schott, andAddison Wade. Sophomore Class Ushers will be Sterling Brassfield, Dashel Davidson, Mallory Grupe, Oliver Moeckly, Daniel Person, and Heather Storbakken.
The final day of classes for Britton-Hecla students will be Thursday with classes dismissed at 1 p.m.
