Bonnie Marie Holland was born January 10, 1941 on the Waage Farm in Marshall County, SD to Elmer S. and Esther (Flagtvedt) Holland. She attended her schooling in Langford and graduated from Langford High School in 1959.

On September 11, 1960 she married Dale O. Larson. They made their home on the farm where they raised their three children. She was a natural homemaker and caregiver and was known for her hospitality and baked goods, especially her orange cookies, Norwegian almond cake, and kringla.

Bonnie’s mantra in life was Faith, Family and Friends. She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Langford and belonged to the church’s Eve Circle and cantata choir, Legion Auxiliary, and Boosterettes. She had the biggest heart and had a love larger than life.

She was creative and enjoyed embroidering, crocheting and coloring. Decorating for holidays was something she would look forward to each year. She loved being a wife and mom and taking care of their home, and making sure everyone was well fed with her delicious baking. Kumla dinners and lefse were some of her trademarks. Her family was extremely important to her and she cherished each and every one of her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
