Harvest Days Aug 4-6

Harvest Days is right around the corner. The annual event is planned for Friday-Sunday, August 4-6. Plan now to participate in all the fun.

Harvest Days is right around the corner. The annual event is planned for Friday-Sunday, August 4-6. Plan now to participate in all the fun.

On Friday, the Harvest Days Parade will start at 6 p.m. The theme for the parade is Backyard BBQ, in Memory of Joe Lang. No preregistration is required if you want to be in the parade. Line up around 5:30 by the pool.

The Buckhorn Rodeo will serve a meal Friday evening. Other events that day include the cornhole tournament that will take place promptly after the parade. Pre-registration via Scoreholio. There will also be free swimming at the pool that afternoon and a dive-in movie that night at 9 p.m. as well as a showing of “Elemental” at the Strand Theatre.

If you’re interested in the Road Race on Saturday morning, you can find registration info on the Marshall Co. WOW Facebook page. The Lion’s Pancake Feed will also take place that morning.

The sand volleyball tournament will take place on Saturday at Pool Park. Four person teams (must be men and women) are invited to participate. Contact Lacey to sign up at 218-790-1806. The vendor fair is planned for Saturday. Contact Tari at 605-448-8325 for more information. For the jigsaw puzzle competition on Saturday, contact Mary at 605824-8714.

The car show will take place Saturday afternoon. Contact Bob to sign up at 605290-0118. Reach out to Orrie Jesz if you want to participate in Saturday’s rib cook off at 605-228-2870.
