B-H Netters Looking To Get Back On Win Track

Host F-H Thursday

The Britton-Hecla volleyball squad jumped out to a fast start at Redfield on Thursday but dropped the next three sets in its only action in the past week.

Coach Jenna Peters’ crew took the opening set 25-18, lost a 27-25 heartbreaker in set two, and fell 25-8 and 25-20 in the final two sets.

Last nightTuesday the Lady Braves played at Waverly-South Shore, Thursday Florence-Henry comes to town for a homecoming matchup, and Tuesday B-H travels to Sisseton.

“We started out really strong against Redfield but kind of fell apart after that,” said B-H coach Jenna Peters, whose club has dropped three straight and stood at 6-5 heading into last night’s matchup. “We need to work more on mental toughness and confidence and hopefully we can get back on track.”

Kaegan Fredrickson paced the Britton-Hecla attack, hitting 19-20 serves with five aces and pounding down 22-28 tries at the net with eight kills. Tiyanna Schott added seven kills, Sterling Brassfield and Abby Lee six each, and Karlie Zuehlke five as the Lady Braves came up with 38 kills in the match.
