Sharpshooters Kick Off Season With Top Finish

The team of Ariana Crawford, Tina Rapkoch, Harry Cutler, Lukas Knudson and Delilah Maxwell made up the winning squad. Other eight and nine-year-olds that competed were Rhyker Bender, Rylee Carlson, Elise Biel, and Aleece Patterson.

The top team was led by Crawford with an aggregate score of 450 and seven centers. She finished first in both standing and kneeling with scores of 86.01 and 89.03, was second in prone with a 94.03, eighth in sitting at 89.0, and also scored a 92 on the safety test.

Right behind Crawford was Rapkoch with a score of 439.06 for second place in her division. Individually she placed second in sitting at 93,04, third in kneeling and standing with scores of 89 and 81.01, and 10th in prone at 90 with one center.

First year competitor Cutler finished in fifth place aggregate with a score of 427 and one center. He finished third in standing at 78 and eighth in prone and kneeling with scores of 91 and 83.01. He also scored a 90 on the safety test.

The 10 & 11 year-old team of Rylan Carlson, Alivia Crawford, Rosalyn Rapkoch, Jasmine Biel and Skyler Bender put together a score of 2246 and 57 centers to finish second in their division. Carlson finished third in his division with a score of 466 and 14 centers, which was the highest score for an individual from Marshall County. Other accolades for Carlson included third in both kneeling and standing with scores of 94.04 and 90.02, seventh in prone at 96.05 and ninth in sitting at 94.04. He also scored a 92 on the safety test.

Alivia Crawford finished fifth with an aggregate score of 465 and 10 centers. She received third place honors in prone with a 98 and five centers, fourth in both standing and kneeling with scores of 88 and 94.03, along with a 92 on the safety test.

Rosalyn Rapkoch finished off the top three for Marshall County in the 10 & 11 yearold division with a score 458 and 17 centers for seventh place. She also finished third in sitting at 96.06, seventh in kneeling at 93.04, and ninth in standing at 86.02.

Individually Jasmine Biel and Adalyn Kanizar placed in the tournament. Biel was seventh in sitting at 94.05 and eighth in standing at 86.03. Kanizar finished sixth in sitting at 95 and three centers. Tony Cutler and Olivia Effling also shot in this division.

The 12 and up team was led by Amelia Crawford who shot a 99 with eight centers in prone for second place. Along with Crawford was Baylee Bender at 97.06 to earn first in kneeling.

Receiving safety test honors were Amelia Crawford, Baylee Bender, Chris Cutler, Nick Cutler, Charles Schuller, and Kaylee Biel.

The Sharpshooters are virtual this weekend and will travel to Pierre the following weekend.
