Absentee voting has begun for the 2024 primary election. There are two races that Marshall County voters may vote on in the primary, depending on their party. On the Republican side, the District 1 State Representative seat is on the ballot, and for Democrats, the presidential race.
Republicans can choose up to two of these candidates for District 1 House: incumbent Tamara St John, Logan Manhart or Christopher Reder. Only registered Republicans may vote in this race.
In the Democratic primary for president, voters can choose incumbent Joe Biden, Marianne Williamson, Dean Phillips or Armando Perez-Serrato. Registered Democrats or Independents may vote in this race.
To absentee vote, people can go to the Marshall County Auditor’s office. The voter registration deadline for the primary is May 20. June 3 is the last day to request an absentee ballot by 5 p.m. Election day is June 4 when the polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
