Who dunnit game planned at Fort

Haunting tales of spectral encounters have long echoed through the halls of Fort Sisseton State Historic Park, but recent events have taken a chilling turn. What began as whispers of apparitions—the ethereal Lady in White and the spectral Buffalo Soldier—has escalated with reports suggesting a new ghostly presence has emerged within the fort’s storied walls.
However, the atmosphere of intrigue and mystery shifted abruptly when tragedy struck. A crew member, amid the escalating ghostly sightings, was discovered “murdered,” plunging the historic site into a real-life mystery reminiscent of a classic whodunit game CLUE.
From July 1 to July 16, visitors are invited to partake in a sprawling game of CLUE across the park grounds, where the objective is to unravel the grim details surrounding the crime. Participants are tasked with pinpointing the location of the murder, identifying the weapon used, and uncovering the identity of the perpetrator. Turn in your answers for prizes and to have your name in the drawing for the large giveaway.
Participants can collect clues by exploring the park’s diverse array of buildings, each potentially holding vital information related to the suspects, weapons, and the scene of the crime. Utilizing deductive reasoning and keen detective skills, players will fill out a detective sheet—available on the Fort Sisseton Mobile App or at the Visitor Center—to craft their solutions.
Once confident in their deductions, players can submit their completed detective sheets via the mobile app or by visiting the Visitor Center during regular business hours. Correct submissions entitle participants to prizes, with on-site submissions at the Visitor Center offering additional rewards.
“We encourage everyone to engage in this interactive exploration of Fort Sisseton,” said park management. “It’s a unique blend of history, mystery, and community engagement.”
Participants are reminded that a State Park Entrance License is required for participation, obtainable at the park’s entrance. Additionally, organizers emphasize that conclusions should not be shared publicly on social media platforms.
For those intrigued by history and enamored with the allure of solving a captivating mystery, Fort Sisseton State Historic Park beckons with promises of adventure and the thrill of uncovering secrets hidden within its venerable walls.
