STRONG START FOR B-H INTERP

The Britton-Hecla oral interpretation team attended two meets recently.  Seven performers attended the Summit High School Invitational on Saturday with all of them receiving Superior ratings.  This included Paisley Bray and Mia Kilker in poetry, Baylee Bender and Avery Leonard in oratory, plus Charles Schuller, Brooklyn Hunt, and Lillian Boyko in humorous.
Monday was the Milbank Invitational, a larger meet with 18 schools and 180 participants.  Bray came home with a Superior Plus in poetry and teamed up with Carter Chapin to also earn a Superior Plus in the duet category.  Oliver Moeckly also came home with two Superior Plus ratings, in oratory and in duo with partner Jerod Nebrida.  Amelia Ingvalson rounded out the Superior Plus group with her poetry presentation.
Superior ratings went to Bender in oratory and Lily Mundt in the humorous division.
Excellent Plus ratings were earned by the duet performed by Aiden Strong and Ryer Larson, Ruthie Moeckly in poetry, and Strong with his serious selection.  Chapin’s storytelling and Adelyn Ahlgren’s poetry also earned an Excellent rating.
The team’s next outing will be at the Eastern Coteau Conference Meet next Wednesday at the Abbey of the Hills.
