MORE SUCCESS FOR B-H INTERPERS

    The Britton-Hecla oral interp team competed in the final two invitational tournaments of the season.  Arlington High School hosted a meet on October 21.  After three rounds of competition, seven entries earned Superior Plus ribbons:  Carter Chapin and Paisley Bray, and Oliver Moeckly and Jarod Nebrida with their duets, Braydon Casey in humorous, Moeckly with his oratory, Bray and Amelia Ingvalson in poetry, and Emily Effling in serious reading.  Serious ribbon winners were: Aiden Strong and Ryer Larson in duo, Wyatt Strong and Charles Schuller in humorous, Baylee Bender in oratory, Chapin in storytelling, and the two reader’s theatre entries of Chapin, Bray, Nebrida, Moeckly, and Casey, and Avery Leonard, Lillian Boyko, and Mia Kilker.  Excellent Plus ribbons were earned by Addie Ahlgren and Ruthie Moeckly in poetry, and Aiden Strong and Caitlyn Casey in serious reading.  
    Saturday the team went to the Florence Invitational.  Four entries maxed out earning Superior Pluses:  Oliver Moeckly and Jerod Nebrida in duet, Oliver in oratory, Bray in poetry, and Chapin in storytelling.  Coming in with Superiors were the Chapin/Bray duet, Wyatt Strong, Boyko, and Schuller in humorous, Bender’s oratory, Ruthie Moeckly in poetry, and Aiden Strong and Effling in serious reading.  Those placing with Excellent Plus ribbons were the Strong/Larson duet Brooklyn Hunt in humorous, and Boyko in storytelling. 
    The team will hold their local competition Monday, Nov. 11 at 6:00 PM in the high school.  Winners there in each category will represent the school in regional competition.
