With Thanksgiving upon us this week, we are fortunate to have some cooking help! The Britton-Hecla First Grade classes are again here to offer their turkey-cooking advice.
Whitney Jensen’s First Grade Class
Rowan Armour- I will mack a turkey and I ned same of this and rathr yos some of taay. I will cut the fedrs off the turkey and then you cut the bons off. I will poot the turkey in the uvin and then I will poot it to 60 dgres. I will serve it whith a polite word like saing ples and thank you.
Haidyn Brooks- I would gather peper, solt, spachleeu, nife. I need to cut the fethrs off the turkey. I now if the turkey is dun if I here the beep. I wud put it at 30 minits. 1.5 drgrees. I wud serve it with sum sivwrare and a coockee.
Keegan Collins- Miles- I hunt it then I gather trcee. I put peprs and guna cut the fethrs off. I am gunu prep to 4 dgrees then I am cooking it foor twutee minits. I serve the turkey awt to my parints with wodr and ptatoose.
Karter Hedges- I will gather mustard, a spoon, and a little pot. I will need a turkey. I will turn on the heat. The turkey will cook until it is done. I will cook my turkey at 217 degrees for 4 hours. I will serve my turkey with duck.
Tre Hrabik- Thees are tools that we will nede. We will need a flamthror and a nife and spachlu. We whill haf to cut the turkey we whill put solt on it. This is how hot it is 10000000 dugrese. The bel gos off. I am going to serve it on a plate. Now we eat it.
Logan Landreth- I would gather spiseis to make it spise. I would grill it up. Frst I would cut the fethers off then I would put spiseis on it. I will cook it at 30 dgrees win it is dun it will cech on fire. Next I will serve it on a tray with melck.
Brynlee Peters- a nife and seezing to cut it. I need to cuc it so I need a grill that is how I do it. Now I need to prep it. I am going to pout the Turkey in the uvin do it is worm that is how I do it. I am going to cook it at 5.7 drgreez in the uvin. That is how I do it and 3.9 minis. First how I no when it is dun sumone will ring a bell with the Turkey.
Henry Raabe- I whoud pout the turkey in fire. I made the fire. I whoud cut the turkey fedirs. I whoud pout the temptchir at thirdy and the timeir at 2 minints. I would eat the turkey.The turkey is yummy. I will get a fork and spoon to eat the turkey.
Milo Suther- I am going to cook the turkey on the gril. I will cuc my turkey with sot and pepr. I am going to cook it my srtin way. I brak the wish bon. I am going to cook it for two in a haf dase. I am going to et milk and cuce with the turkey.
Brooks Taylor- I wood make my turkey on a stove. I wood put soure pache kids and eggs and apple. I wood prehet the stove. I whoud cut off the turkey fethers. I am going to cook it intele it is in the morning. I will cepet it at drese. I am going serve it with my dog and dad.
Reagan Thayer- I am shoing you how to mack a turkey I need a uvin and tongs to fillip it. I am goinge to glase my Turkey to prep then I put sume spisis on. How I am going to then I will Turkey owt of the uvin. The Turkey is brown. I am goinge to seve it. I bet thae will like it is yumy ses Tom.
Adalyn Thielke- For Thanksgiving I will make harts and we will do red and pink. How will you make yore turkey har I will tell you. I am going to put spisis on it. We will cook it 75 dges. The uvin will bep wen it beps it tels us that it is dun. We eat it with sumthing els.
Wren Waletich- I wood put pepers in it and salt and peper. I cooked it in a pot and put spise in it. Im going to cook my turkey for 20 minit it is going to be good. I wood put it in a pan. Then I will dump it on plate.
Jerika Zuehlke- I need solt and I need a spoon and I need a littl pot. I need to wosh my hands bufor I cook the turkey. I am going to cook it in a stove. The stove is going to be to 20 dugrees. I am going to serve it with cookes and ham.

Emily Christenson- I wod git a trcke at a trcke form. Then I whill pick his fethrs. Then I whill pot sesunen on it. Then I will cock it in a uvin. Then I will cok it at 14 degrees and 13 mintis. I will have trcke whith salid, mack and ches, and jelo.
Sutton Collins-Miles- I wil get a trke frum the wudz. Frst I will take the skin off the trke. Then I will get the fethrs off the trke. I kuk it in the uvin. I will kuk it fr ten degrees. Fr the minis I will kuk it fr ten. With my trce I will hav some mash tumatos and I will hav some rost beth.
Braelynn Dirksen- I am going to the turkey shop. I am going to get a turkey. I will put pepper, seasoning, and salt on the turkey. I am going to a fire to roast my turkey. I will cook it for 11 minutes at 10 degrees. I will have sweet corn, salad, stuffing, and potatoes.
Jesse Hastings- I will go hunten to get a trke. I will go to the groshre stor to ge the ingredeens. I will poot sesinneings on my trkez. I will maby do a home made freyr. I will cook it for 2 awrs and 50 degrees. I will ete wotrmelin, chikin, and meetloof with my famely.
Ryatt Hastings- I am going to hont goblrs. I am gowing to put some spisis on it. I am gowing to put sollt an pepr. I am going to put my trke on the grill. I am going to cock it fow 104 degrees. I am going to cuck it fow an awr. I am going to have masht ptados, corn, and dresing.
Natylee Hockenbrock- I like to go to the trke farme to git a trke. Frst I put some pepr on my famlys trcky. I will put my famalys trckys in the stove. I will cock my famlys trcky abawt sixy hours. Danielle Key- I wud go to the trkeey farm and I wud put hot saos on my trkeey. I oso wud put my trkeey in my mickrwave. I oso wud put my trkeey in my micekrwave for 5 minits. I oso wud eate macrooneecheses with jelo and befe.

Claire Nordquist- I woud get a trke at the grostoir. Frst I git it out of the packej. Then I put some pepr on it and then I put some sesin on it. Frst I woud put my trke in the pan. Then I woud put it in the ofin. I will cuk my trcke for twenty minits. Then I will put it in for fode degrees. We will have mashbotato, and stufin. And cone with my trcke.
Brielle Olson- I will get my trke at Kenz. I am gunu put sum sezen and sat. I will put it in the stoev. My trke will coc for to awrz. My trke will be ten dgez. My famly will et jelow and stufen and con.
Aksel Streier- I woud go to the meet stor for a trke. I woud pout sesning on it and I woud pout spis. I would yoozz a trke frir and a couckr to couck the trke. I would to it for 600 degrees. I would mack some makinches with ptatos, and some pnkinpiy.
Avery Tehaar- I will go to Abrdeen and git a trke. I will put on some oylzz, peper, solt, and a litll bit of hot soss. I will pute it in a uvin. I will put the time at 100 and the degrees at 40. We will et jrkee, piye, salid, and brounese.
Jace Van Lith- We will git a trke frum the wuds. Cut the trke and put some seeingen. We will gril the trke. We will put the trke for one ouwr and I will put it at 400. We will et whith the trke salid, graps, corn.
Emma Vrchota- I will git my trce frome my dads shop. I will skin the trke. I will pick the fethrs off. I will sesin the trkee. I will put it in the stove. I will set it for 2 mines and for 6 degrees. I will have pes, fish, and jelow.
Owen Williams- I am going hunten for trkes. I tuck the fethrz out and I put it in to the uvin. I put it in to the mikrwav and I trn on the mikrwav. It is goen to be ten degrees and 10 owrs. Salid, dresen, sezr salid, with my famely.
