Linda D. Larson passed away of natural causes on November 30, 2022 at her family home in Veblen, SD.

Linda Del Larson (maiden name Haring) was born November 19, 1948 in Anchorage, Alaska to Delmar Eugene Haring and Helen McKancher Haring. She attended school, married and had her two sons William “Bill” Wayne Glud (1969) and Marty Ray Glud (1971) in Anchorage. She moved to Texas in 1972 where she resided with her husband and sons for many years.

Linda later moved to Oregon to care for her aging parents. While in Oregon she met the love of her life LaVern Harlan Larson of Veblen, SD. Linda and LaVern were united in marriage on September 16, 1995. They resided in Rothsay, MN until 2003, when they moved back to the Larson family farm in Veblen, SD. Linda cared for LaVern’s aging parents until their passing. Linda and LaVern remained on the farm after the death of his parents. Together they enjoyed many years of traveling in their motorhome, riding the country-side on their motorcycle, ice fishing, snow mobile riding, country dancing and tending to the family farm.

Linda had a vibrant personality. She was known for her firery disposition and was a social butterfly, that knew no strangers. She enjoyed hobbies such as quilting, knitting and needlepoint, making various hand- crafted items for all members of her family. Above all Linda was a loving caretaker. She and LaVern were members of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Veblen.

Linda is proceded in death by her parents Eugene Haring and Helen McKancher Haring and her beloved spouse, LaVern H Larson.

She is survived by her two sons: Bill (Molly) Glud of Spring, TX; Marty (Jacie) Glud of Splendora, TX; brother: Delmar Haring, Portland, OR; three step-children: Luella (Steve) Jonas of Fergus Falls, MN; Melody Sherbrooke-Bergquist of Pelican Rapids, MN; Timothy (Karena) Larson of Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.

A private family burial is planned for the Spring at Zion Cemetery of rural Hillhead, SD.
