Leah married James Luitjens of Claremont on July 7, 1963, and for the next three years she was a military wife and resided in Rantoul, Illinois and Anchorage, Alaska. After Jim’s discharge from the Air Force they returned to Claremont where they began farming with Jim’s father, and later took over the farming operation. She enjoyed a good Bible study, sewing and quilting, long walks down quiet country roads, and spending time with her granddaughters, Lexi and Madi.
Leah was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Britton where she had served in various roles. An important goal in her life was to grow in spiritual maturity and live a life that brought Glory to God.
