NINETEEN YOUNG MATMEN ADVANCE
The wrestlers pictured will be heading to regions this weekend in Brookings in hopes of securing their ticket to state in Rapid City March 28-30th.     A total of 19 Britton-Hecla youth wrestlers placed among the top eight in their respective weight brackets in district competition and qualified for the Region 4 meet set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Brookings High School.
    Winning district championships were Max Suther, Emersyn Eimers, and Emsley Eimers.  Runnerup finishers included Brooks Taylor, Sutton Collins-Miles,  
Oliver Suther, Jordan Gutierrez, and Kenzie Holland.
    Third placers were Merit Jones, Keegan Collins-Miles, Kandrick Jones, Tripp Hagen, Breven Schmieg, Camden Tomlinson, Henry Kilker, Jarrik Jones, and Corbin Dawson.  Julian Beltran was fourth and Carter Tomlinson fifth.
    Also competing in the district tournament were Maxton Wermes, Corven Schmieg, and Jaxon Guy.
    Wrestlers from Watertown, Clear Lake, Milbank, Webster Area, Clark-Willow Lake, Arlington, De Smet, Sisseton, Hamlin, Dakota Boyz Wrestling Club, Tiospa Zina, Madison, Brookings, Sioux Valley, Garretson, Tri-Valley, Dell Rapids, Chester, Flandreau, Baltic, and Colman will be competing in the regional tourney.
