Marshall County Conservation Officer Jack Baumert led an educational program on wood ducks during the March Cloverbuds meetings. Participants learned about wood duck habitats, nesting behaviors, and conservation efforts.
As part of the program, Baumert provided wood duck boxes, allowing Cloverbuds to work in groups to assemble and decorate them. Families with suitable habitats were given the opportunity to take home a box.
The Cloverbuds program, designed for children in kindergarten through third grade, encourages hands-on learning and exploration. Groups meet in both Britton and Langford. A snack for the event was provided by Milo Suther.
