Several school board positions in both the Langford Area and Britton-Hecla school districts will be up for election this summer.
In the Langford Area School District, three seats will become vacant due to the expiration of current terms. Brandon Alberts, Bill Jensen, and Krissa Samson each hold three-year terms that will be up for election. Those interested in running may begin circulating nominating petitions on April 8, 2025. Completed petitions must be filed with the Langford School business manager’s office between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. by May 9, 2025, at 5 p.m. Petitions sent by registered mail must also be postmarked no later than May 9 at 5 p.m.
The Britton-Hecla School District also has three board positions up for election. Troy Knecht, Audrey Schuller, and Kurt Zuehlke each hold three-year terms that will expire this summer. Nominating petitions for Britton-Hecla may also be circulated beginning April 8, 2025. Candidates must submit petitions to the Britton-Hecla School District business manager’s office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. by May 9 at 5 p.m., or postmark them by registered mail no later than the deadline.
Petitions are available at the respective school offices for those interested in running. If an election is required for either district, it will be held on June 17.
