If you drive nine miles west of Langford, you’ll come upon the most well-kept farmstead. The iconic white and blue buildings stand out, and inside one of those buildings is a treasure trove of tractors. The late Richard Anderson had a hobby and that hobby was collecting John Deere tractors.
In 1980, Richard became one of the first to join the world renowned ‘2 Cylinder Club’. This elite club is a non-profit organization that includes members who strive to preserve the history of John Deere. While collecting monthly magazines, and browsing the John Deere auction items, Richard began to grow his collection. The fleet of green and yellow includes sets of styled and unstyled John Deere A’s, B’s G’s and D’s, along with several series such as the 60s and 70s.
Each tractor holds a story but the most fun would be when he found a 1960, 330 Model John Deere.
