Thirteen Langford Area seniors will receive diplomas during the school’s 112th Commencement set for Saturday at 2 p.m. in the school gymnasium.
Britton-Hecla’s graduation will be the following weekend on Sunday, May 21.
LA graduates Laney Widener, Montana Marlow, Jesse Keough, Avery West, Jackson Bahr, and Parker Holler will give the Senior Honor Presentations entitled, “By the Number.” As Senior Class President, West will give the welcome, Secondary Principal Mary Hosford will recognize honor students and present the Senior Class, Superintendent Shad Storley will present the scholarship awards, and President of the Board of Education Jennifer Gustafson will present diplomas.
The Langford Area Choir will perform, “Good Riddance (Time of your Life),” and the LA Concert Band will play, “Take Me Home, Country Road,” as well as the processional and recessional.
Widener, Marlow, Keough, West and Bahr will graduate with high honor, and Holler with honor. Other members of the graduating class include Nikolas Aadland, Maria Barnett, Carter Block, Braven Hanse, Louis Larson, Keegan Schock and Kylie Schock.
The Langford Area Class of 2023 adopted “We have come a long way but not half as far as we will go,” as its class motto, the maroon rose with gold tips as the class flower, and maroon and gold as the class colors.
The last day of school for seniors is today (Wednesday) while other students will be dismissed for the summer at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16.
