Pam passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Marshall County Healthcare Center in Britton at the age of 74. She was surrounded by family.

Pamela Jones was born August 24, 1949, at Miller, SD to Malvin and Doris (Fischer) Bitterman. She spent her early childhood in Lead. Moved back to Miller in 1957 and then moved to Miltona, MN in 1964 and then moved to Lake Andes in 1966 and graduated from Ravinia High School in 1967. She attended Stewart’s Beauty School in Sioux Falls in 1968.

Pam was united in marriage with Donald Jones on January 5, 1969, at Lake Andes, SD. They lived for a while in Lake Andes where she worked at her father’s Rest Haven Resort. They later moved to Clarissa, MN where she worked on the farm. After moving to Wheaton, MN Pam did hair and worked at a café. In 1985 they moved to Britton, SD where she worked at various jobs from cafés to gas stations and grocery stores. She loved dealing with people.

Pam and Don bowled in various leagues in Wheaton and in Britton. She loved Elvis and flowers. Her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren were her greatest joy. She looked forward to spending time with them and spoiling them.

Grateful for having shared her life are a daughter Donita (Brad) Johnson of Webster, two sons: Sonny (Marissa) Jones of Britton, Torrey (Nicole) Jones of Britton; eight grandchildren: Natasha (Kenny), Kasandra(Matt), Jacob, Brianna(Blair), Nathan (Mallori), Preston (Emma), Nevaeh (Jeb), Jocelyn; twelve great-grandchildren: Avarie, Haevyn, Lennex, Weston, Briggs, Mason, Kamden, Penelope, Natalee, Allana, Charlotte, and Koltter; a brother Randy (Mary) Bitterman of Huron, SD; two sisters: Rhonda (Randall) Groneberg of Ipswich, and Robbie (Lonny) Drown of Howard, SD.

Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents and a sister Karen Spiczka. Condolences may be directed to the family in care of Sonny Jones – PO Box 1041 – Britton, SD 57430.
