AGTEGRA DONATES TO LOCAL FIRE DEPTS

To promote health and safety in its local communities, Agtegra Cooperative recently donated to 78 rural and volunteer fire departments across its trade territory this year. Local departments who received funds include North Marshall, Langford, Hecla and Pierpont.

“As a farmer-owned cooperative, part of our mission is to support our rural families,” says Jason Klootwyk, Agtegra CEO. “We know how critical our local volunteer fire departments are to the communities they serve. Supporting local fire departments is one of the ways we can help support the communities we live and work in.”

With many of Agtegra’s locations in small towns and communities several miles away from the nearest hospital or full-time fire department, Agtegra understands the importance of volunteer and rural fire departments, as they fill the necessity of having emergency services available in rural communities. Without these organizations, it could take several minutes for the nearest emergency team to arrive, which is why Agtegra places an emphasis on supporting these groups.

“We are grateful to our local fire departments for what they do to keep our member-owners, employees and their families safe,” says Klootwyk.

Through a Land O’Lakes Foundation grant, Agtegra was able to double its donations to these fire departments, which enables the departments to fulfill the need for training and equipment resources for their teams.
