Twenty-eight Britton-Hecla seniors will receive diplomas at the school’s Commencement scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Britton-Hecla Arena.
Senior Class officers will give the commencement address. They include President Kaegan Fredrickson, Vice-President Ty Fagerland, Secretary Emma Kraft, and Treasurer Jayden Bender.
Superintendent Steve Benson will give the welcome. High School Principal Carrie James will give acknowledgments, and a Board of Education member will present diplomas.
A Senior Ensemble will sing, “Unwritten.” The B-H Concert Band will perform “Appalachian Sunrise” as well as the Processional and Recessional.
Members of the Britton-Hecla Class of 2024 include Madelyn Aman, Collin Beaner, Jayden Bender, April Bodin, Elizabeth Burger, Maddix Delbrune, Preston Ellingson, Ty Fagerland, Kaityln Folkman, Kaegan Fredrickson, Lillian Good-Morrell, Andre Herrera, Anne Jensen, Emily Jensen, Jocelyn Jones, Emma Kraft, Nathan Lenius, Sterling Mertens, Brynlee Patterson, Christian Rath, Brooklyn Rein, Tiyanna Schott, Elijah Sidoti, Faith Small, Dawson Treeby, Evelyn Tschappat, Addison Wade, and Aiden Wade.
The motto of the B-H Senior Class is, “The rest is still unwritten” from Natasha Bedingfield. A red tulip is the class flower, and the class colors are red, white and gold.
Serving as Junior Class escorts for the commencement will be Sterling Brassfield, Ella Bray, Dashel Davidson, Mallory Grupe, RaeAnn Hagenson, Oliver Moeckly, Jerod Nebrida, Daniel Person, and Heather Storbakken. Serving as Sophomore Class ushers for the commencement will be Corinne Bosse, Paisley Bray, Taryn Kraft, Abigail Lee, Sadie Watson, Jaxon Zuehlke, and Karlie Zuehlke.
The final day of classes for Britton-Hecla students will be Thursday, May 16 with classes dismissed at 1 p.m.
