The Langford Area boys basketball squad hung with Wilmot for a half but fell victim to a 22-point third period by the Wolves to fall 74-52 on Friday.
Coach Brian Schuring’s club fell to 0-4 heading into a contest with Burke at the Huron Classic last night Monday. The Lions are back in action net Tuesday when Redfield comes to town (JV 6:30 p.m., varsity to follow).
“We are getting better each game which is really nice to see,” noted Schuring. “The boys are playing hard and working hard to get this program turned around. I’m proud of the efforts and dedication to the team.”
Both clubs came out of the chute on fire with Wilmot on top 25-21 when the dust cleared after the opening eight minutes. The Wolves padded that margin to 41-34 at intermission and then took charge with a 22-point third quarter outburst that boosed their lead to 21 after three periods.

Conner Glines added five boards and three assists, Jacob Samson pulled down five missed shots, and Keough and Samson both had a pair of assists.
