The Britton-Hecla girls basketball team split a pair of contests during the past week.
Coach Terry Nelson’s club, now 3-10, stopped Leola-Frederick 39-29 last week Tuesday but fell to Aberdeen Roncalli 67-22 on Thursday. The Lady Braves traveled to Sisseton last night Tuesday, play at Langford Area on Friday (JV boys 4 p.m., followed by JV girls, varsity boys, varsity girls), and host Clark-Willow Lake on Tuesday (JV boys, girls 5 p.m., varsity girls, varsity boys to follow).
Nelson hopes his club can build some momentum heading down the home stretch of the season.
“Our goal is to try to get three or four wins and then see what we can do in the region,” said Nelson.
