Theresa L. Sibley was born June 17, 1950 in Williston, ND to Lawrence and Mary Aldyce (Houle) Sibley. She graduated from Williston High School. With her first marriage she was blessed with two children, Tyler and Jodene. They continued to make their home in Williston where Terri worked at Opportunity Foundation providing individualized support services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Terri met Don Barrett and they spent a few years down in Omaha, NE before moving to Britton in 1997. They married on July 28, 2005. She worked for a number of years at Buhl’s Dry Cleaning and also as a C.N.A at Wheatcrest Hills. While working as a nurse suffered a stroke which led to retirement. Don was able to care for Terri and allowed her to live at home for many wonderful years before she moved to Wheatcrest Hills in June 2023.

Family was extremely important to Terri and she cherished every minute she would get with her kids and grandkids. Whether it was a holiday or a random visit, she always made sure there was delicious food and hugs to be shared. She was the cornerstone of her family – never selfish, and always made sure her family felt loved.

Terri had an immaculate garden and enjoyed canning. She was a wonderful cook and made many delicious baked goods. She followed Don around mud trucking and liked helping Grandpa Ray on the farm. Some of her favorite trips to Clear Lake were with her beloved companion, Archie. Terri was always ready for a good time and will be dearly missed.
