DARIN JAY WILLIAMS
DARIN JAY WILLIAMS

Darin Jay Williams was born August 11, 1976 to Sue (Goeman) and Don Williams in Watertown, SD. He attended grade school in South Shore, SD and in Kansas, and then graduated from Watertown High School in 1994. He worked part time throughout high school and then attended Lake Area Vo-tech.
Darin was baptized in Our Saviors Lutheran Church in South Shore and confirmed in Goodwin Lutheran Church. He was united in marriage to Carrie O’Brien on September 9, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Hillhead, SD.
Darin loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting with his dog Willy. He started off his cattle herd with a few bottle calves. Darin would take his little boys out to help feed the calves. One of the last bottle calves he had the boys named him “Noisy.” “Noisy” could be heard all through the day banging his head on the gate bellowing, especially when he saw Darin coming with the bottle. Up in the hills in the pastures Darin would yell, “Come on girls!” and it wouldn’t take long and they’d be finding their way to him.
Darin’s pride and joy were his two boys, Owen and Carter. He was the school and daycare driver, the chef, the swimming pool lover, the fixer of toys, and the creator of the nightly sandwich hug. Darin was the first to tell boys and Carrie he loved them before dropping them off and at the end of every night.
Darin passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at the age of 48.
