The spring burial for Michael “Mike” Forrester will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Britton Cemetery with military honors. Mike passed away on February 3, 2023. An online guestbook and obituary is available at www.pricefuneralchapel.net.

The burial for Sanford Schulson will be 10:00am Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Zion Cemetery south of Veblen with military rites. Price Funeral Chapel is handling the affairs.

Vicky A. Witham, age 80, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Prairie Lakes Hospital.

Brenda Lee Wade Schmidt, age 61, of Baltic, died peacefully under hospice care on May 18th, 2023, at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls. Funeral services were at 11:00am Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at West Nidaros Lutheran Church, rural Crooks. Interment will be at Ss. Simon and Jude Cemetery in Flandreau. Visitation was from 4:30-7:00pm Tuesday, at Willow Creek Lutheran Church, rural Dell Rapids.

Joyce Kristofferson passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at Wheatcrest Hills in Britton, at the age of 94.

Timothy Gene Nordquist, 65, of Rapid City, SD passed away on May 6th, 2023 at home with his family. Services will be at 6 pm Friday May 26th at his home, with music, family, and friends. Sunday May 28th, there will be another gathering in Lake City, SD at his childhood home.

The memorial service for Johnny Baker, Sr. will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023 at First Lutheran Church in Britton. Rev. Terrill Sorenson will officiate the service. Inurnment will be at the Britton Cemetery.

Leo Frederick Rust, 95, of Brampton, ND passed away May 13, 2023. He was born February 1, 1928, on a farm east of Straubville, N.D., during a blizzard. He was the son of William C. Rust and Rose Eva (Archer) Rust. Leo grew up on the outskirts of Straubville and attended grade school there. He graduated from Cogswell High School, then attended North Dakota Agricultural College at Fargo. Leo was a cattle man and deeply passionate American farmer, growing an operation to one day involve thousands of acres of spring planting – a favorite role on the farm.

Ilse Charlotte (Winderlich) Lee died peacefully surrounded by her family on May 5, 2023, at SMP Health–St. Catherine South, in Fargo, North Dakota. She was 96 years old, one month shy of her 97th birthday.

The celebration of life for Loretta “Lollie” Enderson will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023 at First Lutheran Church of Britton. Rev. Terrill Sorensen will officiate the service.

The Langford Area track squad competed in a pair of meets during the past week in preparation for the Region 1B meet in Britton on Thursday, beginning at 10 a.m.
