State Tourney June 5-6 At Watertown

Britton-Hecla has qualified eight boys and two girls for the Class B state track meet in Sioux Falls this weekend, while four boys will represent Langford Area.

The Langford Area track squad competed in a pair of meets during the past week in preparation for the Region 1B meet in Britton on Thursday, beginning at 10 a.m.

Langford Area’s track squad finally kicked off its spring campaign with a pair of meets in the last week at Estelline and Milbank.

Britton native Jenn (Watkins) Osendorf realized a goal she started by accident in 2014 when she completed a half-marathon in Hawaii 10 days ago, and in the process compiled “miles of memories.”

At its annual meeting last week Wednesday, the South Dakota High School Activities Association offered member schools two constitutional amendments that they must vote on by May 31.

The Marshall County Sharpshooters’ regular season has come to an end and Austin Crawford, competing in his last competitive BB Gun tournament, finished with a bang.
